We’re Keith and Sherri Skupa, and welcoming guests into our home is something we genuinely love. For us, the Delano Bed & Breakfast is more than just a place to stay — it’s a place where friendships are made, stories are shared, and guests are treated like family. Whether you’re looking for conversation and local recommendations or simply a quiet retreat to unwind, we’re here to make your stay exactly what you need it to be.
Keith is passionate about Wichita and Kansas history and enjoys sharing fascinating stories about the Delano District and the home’s unique past. Sherri loves creating warm, cozy experiences for guests — from preparing beautifully presented breakfasts to hosting special gatherings and tea parties in the charming Garden Tea Room.
Our Historic Home
Originally built in 1910 by Morris Schollenberger, founder of Wichita’s first automobile dealership, our home has a rich and fascinating history woven into every room. Over the years, the house was lovingly cared for by generations of owners, including Dr. Good, who operated his chiropractic practice from the home.
Today, many original features remain beautifully preserved, including restored hardwood floors, rich woodwork, vintage fixtures, period furnishings, and even original wallpaper hidden inside the antique medicine cabinet. Every detail reflects the timeless character and craftsmanship of the early 20th century while offering the comforts modern travelers appreciate.
Our guest rooms — the Schollenberger Room and the Good Room — each provide a peaceful retreat with private bathrooms, cozy vintage décor, comfortable bedding, and thoughtful touches designed to help you feel right at home.
A Relaxing & Memorable Stay
Mornings at the Delano Bed & Breakfast begin with a delicious continental breakfast served on vintage dinnerware in our dining room or outdoors in the garden when weather allows. Guests enjoy farm-fresh eggs, fresh fruit, pastries, homemade yogurt, juice, and freshly brewed coffee or tea — all thoughtfully prepared to start your day on a relaxing note.
If you arrive in the afternoon, be sure to enjoy our Happy Hour Tea Time from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, where guests are treated to gourmet teas and sweet treats in a cozy and welcoming setting.

Our location places you just minutes from many of Wichita’s most popular attractions. Take a leisurely stroll through the historic Delano District, known for its rich cowboy-era history, unique shops, local restaurants, breweries, and welcoming atmosphere. Downtown Wichita, the Riverfront Baseball Stadium, museums, and entertainment venues are all within walking distance, and the FREE Q-Line trolley makes exploring the city even easier.

In addition to overnight stays, we also offer unique gatherings and special events, including tea parties, girls’ spa nights, intimate celebrations, and small weddings. Our charming gardens and cozy Garden Tea Room provide the perfect setting for meaningful moments and memorable occasions.
We are also happy to offer honeymoon packages designed to help newlyweds relax and celebrate together in a romantic and peaceful setting. A Dog-Friendly Welcome
We’re also proud dog lovers, and our friendly pup, Dozer, is part of the family here at the B&B. He enjoys greeting guests with a wagging tail and helping everyone feel welcome from the moment they arrive. We are unable to allow your pets to stay due to having our own dog.

Our networking group, The Group, went to Delano Bed and Breakfast for a breakfast tea. It was absolutely lovely. The tea, coffee, and food was all delicious and I just love the beautiful tea service. The garden is so peaceful and there are so many stories there, being located in the historic Delano District. This is a great place for people who are visiting from out of town or for a nice quiet getaway if you live in Wichita.

This bed and breakfast is a little slice of heaven. Sherri & Keith and so welcoming and kind. I loved hearing about the history of the house. The tea party was amazing! Sherri made yummy pastries and snacks to go with our tea. The gardens are beautiful and you don’t feel like you are in the middle of the city. Just peaceful!

Best kept secret in Wichita, but not for long!!! I had the most relaxing visit and can’t wait to go back. Sherri and Keith were so welcoming and Sherri knows how to cook. Breakfast was delicious and all her treats were yummy. So happy I found Delano Bed and Breakfast and I can’t wait to go back!!! I’m spoiled. Even had a place to hang my hat!!!

Keith and Sherri Skupa are the best hosts you can find for your stay in Wichita. The food was awesome and the rooms were clean and welcoming. The special back yard with many plants flowers and seating is a pleasant place to relax. You won't be disappointed staying with Delana Bed and Breakfast!

it was like staying with family (who you like). Sherri and Keith were so welcoming and the house is beautiful. We had some special requests that they happy accommodated. Sherri is a magnificent cook, who provided a delicious breakfast every morning with a large array of teas to choose from. The neighborhood was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. If it was not for Sherri's cooking, there would not have been much incentive to get out of bed in the morning. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in town.

Sherri and Keith are the most welcoming hosts you could ask for! We were greeted with a thoughtful tray of snacks and beverages, and our room was absolutely charming. The four-poster bed was not only beautiful but incredibly comfortable—such a lovely touch in this historic home.
The property is surrounded by gorgeous foliage and adorable decor, creating a peaceful, storybook atmosphere. Breakfast was a delight—homemade yogurt with fresh berries, perfectly sweet and creamy. Sherri’s kindness truly stood out; she even shared a treasured family recipe with my boyfriend so we could make it ourselves at home.
We loved relaxing on the porch, watching the world go by—it’s such an idyllic spot. 10/10 experience! The next time we’re in the area, we’ll absolutely be staying here again.

We stayed two days and felt very welcome by Sherry and her husband! The room was comfortable and the breakfast and snacks were so yummy! The table was set beautifully with old china cups and other pretty dishes! The house is older but I like the charm that it has! Thank you for making us feel right at home! So much better than staying in a regular hotel!! We will come again!

The Delano B&Bis an old historic home with two guest bedrooms each with their own bathrooms. My bedroom was very comfortable and quaint.
It is located in a quiet neighborhood and close to dining, baseball field, shopping, library, river and the Keeper of the Plains.
The hosts were very charming and extremely accommodating. I thoroughly my extended stay and by the time I left I felt like part of the famil.

My partner and I had a wonderful time! Sherri was incredible and the home is beautiful! We really appreciated the history, and the great suggestions for stuff to do! Breakfast was literally and yummy! We will for sure be back!

What an unexpected find on our drive from Colorado to Florida! Keith and Sherri are wonderful, engaging hosts. Turn-of-the-century Victorian home! Our room was very clean and the bed very comfortable (better than hotels!). Thank you, Keith & Sherri! We will be back!
