House Policies & Guest Guidelines

Because the Delano Bed & Breakfast is also our personal home, we kindly ask all guests to help us maintain a peaceful, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone.
For the comfort and safety of all guests, illegal drugs, illegal activity, excessive disturbances, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will not be permitted on the property. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
Only registered guests who have reserved a room are permitted on the property unless prior approval has been given by the owners. We reserve the right to request identification and refuse service when necessary in order to maintain a safe, quiet, and comfortable atmosphere for all guests.
While we do not require a separate damage deposit, guests are financially responsible for any damage caused to the home, furnishings, artwork, gardens, or other property during their stay.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we strive to provide a relaxing and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits the Delano Bed & Breakfast.

Room Rates & Accommodations

At the Delano Bed & Breakfast, we are known for our warm hospitality, cozy atmosphere, and affordable accommodations. We offer two charming guest rooms, each thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, relaxation, and a memorable stay in our historic home.

The Good Room

The Good Room features a comfortable full-size bed, private bathroom, and in-room refrigerator for your convenience. Guests enjoy a delicious hot breakfast each morning, beautifully served on our vintage china. If you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, or another special occasion and would like a more upscale or personalized experience, simply let Sherri know when booking and we’ll be happy to help make your stay extra special.
Afternoon refreshments are served daily from 4:00–5:00 p.m. Guests also have access to the shared spaces throughout the home, including the living room, dining room, parlor, front porch, and gardens. The front porch is a favorite place to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or relax in the evening breeze.
We encourage guests to stroll through the gardens and visit the charming Garden Tea Room. With several outdoor seating areas tucked throughout the property, there are plenty of quiet places to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. If you are interested in scheduling a Tea Party experience during your stay, please let Sherri know when making your reservation.

The Schollenberger Room

The Schollenberger Room offers a spacious and elegant retreat featuring a beautiful four-poster queen-size bed, a large walk-in closet for hanging clothes, and a dresser for your convenience.
As with all stays at the Delano Bed & Breakfast, guests enjoy a hot breakfast served on vintage dishes each morning, along with access to the home’s welcoming shared spaces including the parlor, dining room, living room, gardens, and front porch.
Take time to wander through the gardens, relax in one of the many seating areas, or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Garden Tea Room. Tea Parties may also be arranged during your stay by contacting Sherri in advance.
Discounted rates may be available for extended stays. Because we are a small, owner-operated bed and breakfast rather than a hotel, we may occasionally miss your call while caring for guests or the property. Please leave a message and we will do our best to return all calls within 60 minutes.

Venue Rental & Special Events

The Delano Bed & Breakfast offers a beautiful and intimate setting for small gatherings, celebrations, meetings, tea parties, elopements, and small weddings. Our gardens, Garden Tea Room, patio, and historic home provide the perfect backdrop for meaningful occasions and memorable experiences.
We also offer honeymoon packages for couples looking to celebrate in a romantic and relaxing setting. Let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll gladly work with you to create a personalized and unforgettable event.

Breakfast

Each morning, guests are treated to a delicious hot breakfast served on vintage dinnerware in our dining room or garden, weather permitting. Breakfast may include farm-fresh eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, homemade yogurt, juice, coffee, and tea — all thoughtfully prepared to help you start your day relaxed and refreshed.

Cancellations

Because we are a small bed and breakfast with only two guest rooms, cancellations have a significant impact on our business. We kindly request at least one week’s notice for cancellations. No refunds are given within 1 week of reservation. 
We gladly accept Visa and MasterCard.

Check-In

Regular check-in hours are between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
If you anticipate arriving earlier or later, please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements to accommodate your schedule whenever possible. Early check-in may be available for an additional $25 fee.

Check-Out

Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
If you require a later check-out, please let us know in advance so we can coordinate with housekeeping and upcoming guest arrivals. If available, late check-out is $25 for the first additional hour. After that, a fee of $25 per hour (or partial hour) will apply.

Adults & Children

Because our historic home contains valuable antiques, fine artwork, and delicate furnishings, the Delano Bed & Breakfast may not be the best fit for families traveling with children under the age of six. Please feel free to contact us with any questions regarding accommodations for younger guests.

Pets

While we love animals and share our home with our friendly dog, Dozer, additional guest pets are not permitted at the B&B. We would be happy to provide contact information for a trusted local kennel if needed.
